The Friends of Raikes Road Burial Ground is a group dedicated to uncovering the history of the old Burial Ground in the heart of Skipton and sharing it with the local community.

Sarah volunteers with the Friends group, which is hoping to generate publicity for the Open Days throughout the year & special events that are held to teach visitors about Skipton and its inhabitants during the Victorian era.

The Friends group also carries out fundraising for the site, to enable the excavation of the Chapel and the Mortuary, and map more of the grave stones.
